Wheels in Motion

Hey Gang,

It’s been a full stretch lately—lots of moving parts, new work, and a few things finally coming together. I’ve got two updates I’m especially excited about—one here in San Francisco, and one from a recent shoot that brought together great chefs, good light, and sharp tools. Both are rooted in the kind of work I love: creative, purposeful, and built with good people.

🖼️ April 15 – Art Show at Scuderia (Moto Social)

I’ll be showing a collection of prints from my time in Ukraine at Scuderia in San Francisco as part of the Moto Social event. The work spans three years, a dozen trips, and a lot of time in the passenger seat of an ambulance. There may be some short videos running, too—something to bring people closer to what this work has looked and felt like.

The show is also a chance to start raising funds to recover the cost of six medic motorcycles I just purchased. My friends and I will be delivering them to Ukraine this summer—but more on that soon.

Where: Scuderia West, Pier 70, San Francisco
When: April 15, 7-9pm (during Moto Social)
Why: Art, community, good bikes, and a good cause

Earlier this year, I partnered with Hestan Culinary to photograph their Back of the House series—a visual deep dive into some of the Bay Area’s most respected kitchens. The project took me behind the scenes at restaurants like Birdsong, Mattina, Officina, and Benu, working with chefs like Matt Accarrino, Michael Tusk, and Corey Lee.

My focus was on capturing the details—portraits of the chefs and the Hestan cookware in use. Clean compositions, honest light, and a close look at the tools that bring these kitchens to life.
